Technical Specs

We decided to build Astra Chain layer 1 based on the Cosmos SDK which runs on top of Tendermint Core consensus engine. Cosmos allows Astra to be an environment-friendly delegated Proof-of-Stake blockchain that is fully compatible and interoperable with Ethereum and native connection with other popular blockchains like BNB, OKExChain, Crypto.comโ€™s Cronos, KuCoinโ€ฆ While Astra is a layer 1 blockchain that is purposefully built for reward and loyalty use-case, we always plan for $ASA and its applications to be cross-chain and multi-chain compatible. Being compatible with Ethereum allows businesses to tap in a Ethereumโ€™s rich and diverse ecosystem, existing applications, developer network and tools (e.g. Users can use Metamask to store $ASA, in additional with Astra Hub, Astraโ€™s native wallet)

Astra Chain is engineered to be lightweight and scalable with expected 1,000 transactions per second and confirmation time 2-3 seconds.
